Harney County CattleWomen (HCCW) is dedicated to promoting beef, supporting our local community, enhancing educational opportunities, and keeping our members informed about issues affecting our ranching industry.

    OUR ACTIVITIES

Scholarships. We offer scholarships for students pursuing college and trade school education and scholarships for teachers to attend the Summer Ag Institute, fulfilling their continuing education requirements.

Migratory Waterfowl Festival. For over 30 years, we have hosted ranch tours and meals during the festival, showcasing the symbiotic relationship between our agricultural practices and waterfowl needs.

County Fair. We actively contribute to youth livestock activities and demonstrations and operate a booth at the county fair, engaging with the community and promoting the beef industry.

School Programs. We provide demonstrations in schools, educating students about the source and nutritional value of beef. Additionally, we supply beef jerky to the middle school for monthly assemblies, rewarding excellence and attendance.

Buckaroo Breakfast. Every year, we host a Buckaroo Breakfast on Saturday morning at the Harney County Fair. In 2023, we celebrated our 70th breakfast, and we look forward to returning in 2024 to help celebrate the fair's 100 years!

Elks Christmas Baskets. Each year, we donate a beef item to the Christmas baskets given to our community's folks who need a little help making the season bright.
